Thanksgiving Weekend Recap

It's a little late, but my turkey day weekend went pretty swell. Aside from my boyfriend having to work on Thanksgiving like a communist; all was merry and bright. And I got to begin my holiday decorating and present-scoping, which is often the highlight of my year (Matty is set to break all previous records for amounts of random gifts received).

So Thursday, sans boyfriend, I headed to my Aunt and Uncle's house in Topsfield, MA for the usual Thanksgiving traditions: delicious turkey, lots of wine, and many laughs.
Oh, and some deer in their yard:

After dinner, I headed back to my folks so my puppy-child could have some QT with his brother Ciro:

Friday was spent lounging with my man, and then selling some chili for his place of employment to the townspeople at a Holiday Stroll in Quincy. We also lucked out with some great food from Italy's Little Kitchen (mini chicken parm and meatball subs?! YUM!) and sweets from O'Briens' Bakery (FREE PIE?!), both Quincy spots as well. This event also included some people in Christmas costumes and lots of cute babies to gawk at. I had no complaints.

The rest of the weekend was somewhat uneventful, except I have decided to try to learn how to knit, and "successfully" made my first "project". Luckily someone is getting use out of it?

Finally, I wrapped up the weekend with a trip to the pet store with my roommate so he could get a fish (and I could replace our beloved Betta, Squishy II. Squishy III seems to be doing nicely. Also. That turtle? I WANT. Ozzie could ride on him someday!), a touch of Christmas decorating, and by cleaning the absolute crap out of my enormous closet.

Victory!

Story of my life, right there. Wash all the clothes. Fold all the clothes. Try on all the clothes. Decide I have no clothes.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Happy Holiday Season to all!
