There are few things I love more than being in my back yard.
The fact that we have this ridiculous, green oasis in one of the most urban areas in Boston is quite the treat. But even before we moved to our current digs, I would sit on whatever deck/patio/staircase/sidewalk/etc was available in the summer time.
But now we have a yard. With a grill. And a hammock. And a fire pit.
And a Jambox.
So, when I made a Spotify playlist for the summer last year, I aptly titled it Backyard Summer.
It was a mix of some of my favorite old-and-new (at the time) tunes. It's still getting heavy rotation this year, but I thought it was time to craft something new for 2013. Some old favorites made it, and (of course) a hefty dose of Macklemore (The Heist has basically been the soundtrack to my life for the past six months) - in an effort to put together a somewhat unexpected series of tracks guaranteed to keep you in that hammock a little longer.

Whether it's a kiddie pool, a real pool, or a sprinkler on a sidewalk--stay cool kids. And enjoy.
