Wedding Crafting with Courtney

While we're on the subject of weddings, I may as well share the exploits of my crafty Sunday spent with a (few) bottle(s) of wine and my dearest friend/college roommate Court. Court is marrying my buddy Andy at the Boston Public Library (swooooooon) come January. Like me, Courtney has great taste (ha) and a firm believer in DIY-ing it whenever you can. I'd say our labor paid off:

She will be using a painted window seating chart, similar to what I did for my brother (need to upload final product pics for that wedding, will do!). So, aside from painting windows, we also painted some chalkboard perimeters a clean black, before I began the table numbers. These will sit on each table and request that guests leave Court and Andy a message to read on a future anniversary. I love this idea, and it make the table numbers serve a much more fun purpose.

Beyond that, I made a Thank-You sign with chalk paint and gold paint to sit beneath the card box.

Next--Courtney had almost ordered grapevine balls stuffed with flowers from Etsy for some exorbitant price. She quickly decided we could make these ourselves and ordered the balls online. We picked up fake flowers and moss at Michael's and voila! We just need to tie them with ribbon and they will mark the end of each row of seats at the ceremony.

We also had a bunch of miniature chalk signs that I had ordered for my brother's wedding that we hadn't used. We were stumped with what to do with them, until Courtney had a Pinterest epiphany: props for the Photo Booth! I used chalk paint to write their initials, the wedding date, and fun things like an engagement ring and cartoon smiles. Matty showed up late night and wanted to get in on the crafting festivities, so he attempted to make two monacles and a moustache for the photo booth. I also tried my hand at a pirate eye patch to no avail:

...and that is what 3AM crafting looks like, friends!
