| NORTH HOLLYWOOD. WHERE IT ALL BEGAN |
PSA: If you're inclined to find out more about my professional life, you can check out the newly developed alliebeau.com for my résumé and some other pertinent details. Yes, I can build you a website. No, it won't be quick, nor free. Yes, my skills are abundant. No, I won't leave MocoSpace and come work for you. There were many handshakes, and meetings, and Keynote presentations. And, I assure you, plenty of business was done.
But, there were moments when I was able to sneak away from my MacBook, and my room at the Standard Downtown, and I remembered just why I love Los Angeles so very much.
This is the city where Matt and I fell in love. And, as I wandered a gloomy Venice Beach alone, with my camera, awaiting my flight home that dreary Wednesday afternoon, I started to fall in love all over again.
Maybe it's my East Coast upbringing that has always made California so positively captivating.
Maybe it's being able to sip wine with the girl who has been one of my closest friends since college, as she now resides in West Hollywood; the only one of us ballsy enough to chase that dream of hers.
Perhaps it was cruising to Malibu in a rental car, without a care in the world; enjoying traffic to be able to admire the mountains.
Perhaps, it's the palm trees and palpable opportunities.
Whatever the reason... California, I love you so.
And I cannot wait to see you again.
